Go and Sea: Saint-Martin from the sea, with a captain who tells its stories

Looking for a private charter to explore Saint-Martin by sea? Our recommendation is clear: Go and Sea, and its Captain Franck. A look at this partner we work with regularly, and how you can round off the day on the beach with us.

Captain Franck, storyteller of the island

Captain Franck is the soul of Go and Sea. Thirty years in Saint-Martin, a former surf instructor turned charter captain, he speaks four languages — French, English, Spanish and Creole — and knows every rock, every cove, every story on the island.

Go and Sea's tagline says it well: *Hear the Island Stories*. On board, the Captain isn't just a pilot — he's a guide who places every landscape in context. Why a beach carries that name, who lives in that bay, which pirate ran aground there two centuries ago. That's what turns a boat trip into a real immersion.

The Powercat: comfort, permanent shade and open bar

Go and Sea runs a single boat: a 10-passenger power catamaran (powercat) equipped with two Mercury 150 HP engines. The choice isn't accidental — twin hulls for maximum stability, permanent shade over two comfortable lounges, a forward sun bed with bean bags, and an easy swim ladder, accessible even to guests with reduced mobility.

The inclusions are striking: skipper, fuel, full snorkeling gear, floating toys, life jackets, and above all an open bar — beers, rosé, rum punch, sodas, fresh cocktails. No surprises on the final bill: everything is included from the headline price.

The routes: South, North, or both in one day

Three main packages structure the offer. The **South half-day** heads down the iconic south coast: Baie Rouge, Baie Longue, Mullet Bay, Maho Beach with its plane show, Simpson Bay, Friar's Bay. The postcard route.

The **North half-day** runs the other way, towards the preserved islets: Tintamarre, Green Cay, Pinel, Creole Rock, Grand-Case. Crystal-clear water, coral seabeds, a wilder and more secret atmosphere.

The **full day** combines both: North in the morning (flat sea, soft light, ideal for snorkeling at Creole Rock), South in the afternoon (Maho Beach, Mullet Bay, return at sunset). The package for those who want to truly circle the island.

Sunset and snorkeling: the shorter versions

For those who can't block out half a day, two shorter packages exist. The **sunset cruise** (about two hours) follows Grand-Case and the coastal bays at sundown, with a stop at Creole Rock. Champagne is optional, the mood romantic or friendly depending on the group.

The **two-hour snorkeling trip** focuses on a prime site — often Creole Rock — to watch coral, tropical fish, and, with a little luck, turtles. Ideal as a complement to a beach day.

The combo: their charter, our jet ski at day's end

Here's how we work together day to day. You book your day with Go and Sea — South half-day, North half-day or full day. Captain Franck takes you out, tells you the island, drops anchor at the most beautiful spots. A day of stories, drinks in the shade and swims.

And at the end of the trip, on the way back, you join us on Anse Marcel beach for half an hour of jet skiing. The machines are prepped in advance, the briefing is short (you arrive already in sea mode), and you leave with a dose of adrenaline that perfectly rounds off the day on board.

It's the combo we recommend to anyone who wants a complete Caribbean experience in a single day: the sea told by a local in the morning, the sea piloted by yourself at the end of the afternoon.

How to book Go and Sea

Go and Sea is booked directly on their website, goandsea-charters.com, where you'll find package details, up-to-date prices and the contact form. As the boat only goes out with one group at a time, it's best to book ahead, especially in high season (December to April).

Once your day with them is booked, let us know when you reach out: we'll line up the half-hour jet ski session at day's end so you arrive at Anse Marcel with no idle time, machines ready to go.
